EPISODE 103: The Master Of Disguise Ft. Brandon Soderberg
Dana Carvey’s 2002 film THE MASTER OF DISGUISE has been a running joke between us and friend of the podcast Brandon Soderberg. There are no rappers in it, but we always dreamed of a day where we would be able to talk about it through the lens of rap.
So that’s what we did.
This is essentially two episodes. The first 53 minutes are just three grown men, separated by social distancing, earnestly discussing the absurd story of a film that is barely a film.
In the second half, we find a connection between the film and some underground Toronto rap. We also connect it to a No Limit classic.
Most importantly though, we talk about I GOT A MONSTER, the book that Brandon is currently working on, about Baltimore police corruption in the wake of Freddie Gray. We had the pleasure of reading an excerpt and its amazing.
It’s a long episode, but its light and easy. Just the kind of stuff we need in these times. Enjoy!
